From gross weight to fine content
1,000 g × 0.999 = 999 g
This is a content example assuming the stated fineness is correct. Stones, fillers and non-metal components are excluded from the calculation weight. It is not an assay or a live quotation.

A 999 bar and 925 jewellery have different fine content. Ask whether the bid is per fine gram, per gross gram or per whole item. Do not reduce an item-specific bid again if it already accounts for fineness.
For resale, use the dealer’s bid. Multiply the matched quantity by that bid and subtract percentage charges and fixed fees for net proceeds. Confirm the quote’s validity period and whether partial sales are accepted.

This values metal content, not a product buy or sell quote. A delayed source also means a delayed table reference.
In a 925 silver item, 92.5% of product weight is fine silver. One kilogram of a 925 item contains 925 g of fine silver.
A 1,000-gram gross item described as 999 fine has theoretical fine silver content of 999 grams. The purity table values that content at a reference, rather than promising a resale amount. Weight, markings and buyer acceptance must be checked for the actual transaction.
Eight kilos are 8,000 grams. Use fineness and a consistent currency for theoretical metal value. For actual resale, multiply the applicable dealer bid per kilo by eight, then deduct percentage and fixed charges. If one bid does not cover the full quantity, evaluate the separate products or pricing tiers individually.
Compare identical fineness, product and quantity. Add commission, delivery and other stated charges to the complete cost. If only whole kilo bars can be sold, use a one-kilo sale increment for cash targets. Check entry cost and exit bid separately; the reference screen does not replace actual dealer offers.

Read the guideOne kilogram is 1,000 grams; its ounce equivalent is 1,000 / 31.1034768. Apply the weight conversion and then product purity. At 995 fineness, a one-kilogram item contains 995 grams of fine metal. Match currency, timestamps and purity when comparing per-kilo and per-gram prices. Several smaller packaged products can cost more than one larger product with the same contained metal.
The following figures are a worked example, not current prices. Illustrative USD/troy-ounce reference: 31. 5 kilograms × 0.999 = 4,995 grams of fine silver. Illustrative metal value: 4,978.3824 USD.
This value is neither a dealer’s ask nor your net resale proceeds. Enter actual bid and ask quotes in the same unit and add total fees separately. Quotes taken at different times can also differ from a calculated reference. When changing currency in the calculator, remember that FX is a daily reference.
Physical silver purchases can involve different quantities than gold for the same budget, so assess delivery and storage charges using the actual offer. A 999 designation means 99.9% purity; a fine-gram reference is not identical to a product’s gross-gram price. A price screen does not authenticate purity. Check the certificate and testing conditions separately when needed.
