Rupee prices and quantity labels
This page provides an INR fine-metal reference using daily FX. A price described per 10 grams is ten times a per-gram price only when metal content, purity and source time match. Confirm the denominator on the actual offer before entering it in the dealer comparison. The page does not supply a local jewellery quotation, and its daily currency conversion cannot establish an executable rupee price.
Comparing a jewellery quote
Separate net metal weight, stated purity, fabrication charges and other quoted fees. Ten grams of 22-karat gold contains approximately 9.1667 grams of fine gold when karat is the basis used; a certificate’s specific fineness provides a more exact product input. The spot calculation values contained metal. It does not establish the value of stones, craftsmanship or a branded finished item, and it is not a substitute for a tested purity assessment.
Worked currency conversion
This example assumes gold at USD 3,100 per troy ounce and a conversion of 1 USD = 85 INR. These are illustrative inputs, not current prices or exchange rates. The fine-gram result is 3,100 × 85 / 31.1034768 = 8,471.7217 INR. Multiply by fine grams to value a holding; add actual fees to compare a purchase.
Before comparing an offer
- Confirm the currency code and whether the quote is per gram, troy ounce or kilogram.
- Establish whether quantity describes gross weight or fine-metal content.
- Request the dealer’s buy and sell quotes separately, including delivery and total fees.
- Match timestamps; daily FX conversions and a live USD chart can describe different observations.
